Free Pizza Day in Little Italy – Pizzeria GEMA

GEMA Pizzeria - Free Pizza day

July 11, 2014

in Food, Little Italy

What’s better than pizza? Freshly made, right out of the oven pizza? How about Freshly made, right out go the oven FREE pizza? That’s right boys and girls, the masterminds behind Impasto and upcoming GEMA, Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione will be giving away FREE PIZZA TONIGHT starting at 5pm, until they literally run out of dough!

A work in progress, this highly anticipated pizzeria by this dynamic duo of culinary fortitude, charisma, boyish good looks announced in early April a new endeavour that will be situated across the street to their existing Impasto and diagonally from Faita’s family business Quincaillerie Dante. The place will feature a state of the art pizza oven imported from Italy that mimics the control deck of the Starship Enterprise and a walk-up take-out window.

An acronym made up of the first letter’s of the duo’s children, GEMA will be serving up pizzas like a classic margherita pizza, luscious red sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil, “The Yann” – pepperoni pizza with pepperoni made my Yann Turcotte (ex-chef at Verses) as well as “The Dammann” named after Derek Dammann of Maison Publique, made with n’duja, béchamel, fresh clams and some other “secret ingredients”… I’m guessing Bruin blood and Habs voodoo spices.

Get there early! Expect a lineup! 6827, rue St-Dominique corner Dante – H2S 3B1

This is not their grand opening, rather than showing love to all the pizza lovers, friends, family and fans and supporters!
