Recently the great people at Maison Le Grand contacted me to tell me about their brand new line of rosée sauces. All natural, additive, and preservative free; with no added sugar, these sauces are also dairy free. We teamed up and wanted to give you the opportunity to win their ENTIRE product line of sauces and ready-made pestos; perfect for health conscious, fast and tasty meals without compromising taste and taste!

They sent me samples and when I saw the rosé sauces, I knew almost instantly what I was going to do with it… PIZZA! I know the first thing that pops into mind when you think rosée sauce is pasta, but it’s summer, and summer means barbecue and in this case, barbecue PIZZA!

Maison Le Grand rosée sauce
Ingredients – for 1 medium sized pizza
-1 Cup – Le Grand Classic Tomato & Basil Rosée Sauce
-Sliced bocconcini
-Thinly sliced basil leaves
-2 tbs Olive oil
-Ball of prepared pizza dough (When I make pizza, I usually cheat and head over to my local pizza joint and buy a couple of balls of dough from them)

Maison Le Grand rosée sauce
1. Stretch out your dough – If you’ve got a pizza pan to form it, go for it – unless you live on the edge like me, free-forming a pizza is exhilarating.
2. Once you get the size you like, brush one side with olive oil and throw that sucker on a preheated grill at 300 degrees, oil side down.
3. Allow it to cook for about 2 minutes – It will bubble but that’s cool, you want that.
4. Once the dough tightens up so that you can move it without ripping, lower the heat to medium and dress you pizza.
5. Spoon on sauce and top with cheese and basil. (Conventionally you’d dress your pizza before it’s placed in the oven (grill in this case) but I do it this way so that my crust doesn’t get too soggy from the sauce.)
6. Close the lid for 2 mins.
7. Once the cheese is where you want it to be (you’ll know) pull it off the heat, slice, serve, fight over last slice.

This simple margarita pizza is no fuss. With the premade Le Grand Sauce rosée, there was an aromatic and inherent sweetness to the pizza.
